FESTA ITALIANA FIRST GLOBAL LIVE STREAM
World’s First Live Stream for Festa Italiana
Thunder Bay- The Italian Society opened today and for the very first time they will be broadcasting the world’s first live streaming of its Festa Italiana 2013.
The opening ceremonies MC was Pasquale Cochimilio who introduced all the dignitaries including Maria LaChemia, Vice Counsel of the Italian Embassy, Thunder Bay Mayor Keith Hobbs, Alderman Larry Hebert, Member of the Canadian Parliament MMP Bruce Hyer and MPP John Rafferty, Italian Member of the Ontario Government MP Bill Mauro, and Minister of Northern Affairs MPP Michael Gravelle, Tony Tassone President of Juventus Soccer Club, Rita Romeo, Gran Sasso Club, and Carlo Benicasa
This year’s Italian Festa was official blessed by father Luigi of St. Anthony's Church and opened with a speech by Bennie Melchoirre followed by the singing of both the Canadian National Anthem “ Oh Canada” and the Italian National Anthem.
This popular Italian cultural event which is one of the largest cultural festivals in Northern Ontario, will be celebrating its 23rd consecutive Festa Italiana with over 25,000 visitors attending from all over Canada and the United States.
